InfoWorld Bestows Synology® Cube Station CS407 with its "2009 Technology of the Year Award"
Synology Edges out Serious Competition to Become the only NAS Server Manufacturer Given the 2009 Technology of the Year Award
Taipei, Taiwan—January 22, 2009—Synology® America Corporation today announced that InfoWorld, a leading publisher of technology information and reviews, has awarded Synology's Cube Station CS407 the coveted "2009 Technology of the Year" award. Only 12 products were given this prestigious award in the System and Storage category, and Synology was the only NAS server manufacturer to win, sharing the stage with Apple, Dell, HP, and other top tier brands. Synology's famous AJAX-based embedded Disk Station Manager (DSM) 2.0 NAS management software allow the CS407 to overtake tasks that traditionally require a PC based server; including website hosting, stand-alone file downloading with remote file management, surveillance video recording/viewing from IP cameras installed on the network, and much more. The CS407 is at home on Windows®, Macintosh®, and Linux based networks. The CS407 supports Windows ADS authentication, encrypted network backup, encrypted FTP with hack-prevention, and many other features including cool & quiet design.
