Synology® Adds Firmware Download Site in UK to Further Improve Download Efficiency
Taipei, Taiwan—December 30, 2008—Synology® today kicked off its UK download site to better serve the American and European users with enhanced download experience.
"Delivering smooth firmware download process is always our top priority," said Edward Lin, Marketing Director of Synology. "Seeing that over half of Synology's website visitors are from the American and European countries, we are delighted to host a dedicated download server in the UK to ensure users can obtain Synology's firmware with the least efforts and time." The download site is served by a new Synology Rack Station that will be officially available in 2009 Q1, and it provides identical contents with that on Synology's original download server.
Synology offered an alternative download solution, BitTorrent, for firmware download since September 2008. "With the new UK download site, Synology can further fulfill the commitment to provide most updated features to users in the most efficient way," Lin added.
