Synology® NAS Servers Now Support Two Western Digital 750G Hard Drive Models

Taipei, Taiwan—August 15, 2008—Synology® Inc. today officially announced the compatibility of its NAS products with two Western Digital 750G hard drives – Caviar drive WD7500AYYS-750G and Caviar Green drive WD7500AACS-750G. These two Western Digital hard drives have successfully passed a series of stress tests in the Synology laboratory and proved to be compatible with Synology NAS servers.

The verification of both models makes it possible for energy-conscious customers to use Synology NAS servers combined with larger capacities, balanced system performance, enhanced reliability, and energy conservation. It is an ideal hard drive choice for users who require low power consumption along with cool and quiet operation.
