Synology® Updates Synology Mail Station User Guide

Taipei, Taiwan—December 1, 2009—Synology® Inc. today updated Synology Mail Station User Guide to assist users to more effectively set up this application. While more than 100 new features, enhancements, and options have been released through Synology Disk Station Manager (DSM) since its debut in 2008, Synology Mail Station has been considered one of the most cost-saving and beneficial features for the business and workgroup users.

Mail Station is an add-on package for Synology DSM 2.2. After installing this package, Synology Disk Station is turned into a mail server that supports various protocols, including SMTP, POP3, POP3 SSL/TLS, IMAP, and IMAP SSL/TLS. "Synology Mail Station brings users very low total cost of ownership (TCO). Furthermore, email operations can be done through e-mail clients such as Microsoft® Outlook, Apple® Mac Mail, or a built-in webmail interface," said Edward Lin, marketing director of Synology.

The updated Synology Mail Station User Guide provides more complete information backed with illustrations, so that even beginners can easily set up their own mail server and solve encountered issues by following this document.
