Synology® Updates the SqueezeCenter and Mail Station Packages

Taipei, Taiwan—September 15, 2009—Synology® Inc. today updated the SqueezeCenter and Mail Station packages to version 7.3.3 and 20090911-015 respectively for its newly released firmware, Disk Station Manager 2.2.

The SqueezeCenter package allows users to run Logitech® SqueezeCenter 7 on their Synology Disk Stations without powering on PCs 24/7. Unicode filename is also supported in the latest version.

The Mail Station package allows users to turn their Synology Disk Stations into mail servers that support Webmail, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP. The latest version added SMTP server and port configurations for Webmail and added the option of customizing the maximum single mail size to between 10 and 2,048MB.

Both new packages simplify installation process with direct upgrade without having to uninstall the previous version.
