Are specialized cameras required for video analytics? What is the recommended resolution for each camera? All cameras listed under the IP Camera Support List are supported. We recommend installing cameras that support FHD 1920x1080 resolution and 20 FPS (frames per second) or higher frame rate. Refer to the Admin Guide for more information. How does the system handle lighting changes, shadows, and weather conditions such as rain? Leveraging advanced algorithms powered by the integrated GPU, Surveillance Station's People and Vehicle detection functionality can detect and differentiate between those objects of interest with high accuracy, even in more challenging lighting environments. What external integration/API capabilities are supported? Surveillance Station API can be used to customize deployments for specific needs. For example, you can perform external analysis, bookmark frames of interest, or pass Facial Recognition or People Counting results to an external system.
