Synology^® Introduces DiskStation DS1819+

BELLEVUE, Wash—November 29, 2018—Synology^® Inc. launched its new DiskStation DS1819+, an 8-bay NAS with several features that make it highly versatile and ready to expand in order to meet a business' growing data needs.

A Scalable Storage Server with Outstanding Performance

DS1819+ includes an Intel quad-core, 2.1 GHz processor that gives it superior performance. It can scale to a total of 18 drive bays when paired with two DX517 expansion units, allowing it to accommodate a total of 216 TB of raw capacity. DS1819+ also includes four-gigabit ethernet ports and one PCIe slot for either a 10 GbE network interface card or a M.2 SSD adapter.

 DS1819+ is powered by DiskStation Manager, Synology's advanced operating system that includes various applications to enhance work productivity. With all of the options DSM gives, businesses can tailor DS1819+ to fit their specific needs, making navigation and management easy and efficient.

The size and scalable nature of DS1819+ make it the perfect central backup device for small- to medium-sized businesses. Synology's Active Backup Suite, one of the many business applications that comes on DSM, is able to back up Windows computers and servers, VMware virtual machines, and Office 365 and G Suite to a central destination.
