Purpose

Synology Photos is the successor to Photo Station and Synology Moments. This article introduces the key differences between the three packages and lists the migratable and dropped items/features.

  2. The share links of albums will be regenerated during the migration. The original URLs will no longer be available.
  3. General tag and rating migration are only supported in the following formats: jpg, jpeg, jpe, png, cr2.
  4. For models that support face and object recognition functions, please refer to this article.
  5. Some of the removed features may be redesigned and relaunched along with future updates of Synology Photos.
