Notes:

  1. Location tags contain a location name (e.g., Eiffel Tower) and the corresponding GPS coordinates. The GPS coordinates cannot be edited directly but can be changed according to the location name. To change GPS coordinates, tick Use GPS coordinates obtained by location search when editing the location tag.
  2. The GPS coordinates of a location tag will be stored in Exif format, but the location name will only be available in Photo Station.
  3. The general tag equals to "Keywords" in the IPTC standard.
  4. People tags adopt the Microsoft Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP) schema, which stores people's names in the metadata according to the selected rectangular area. They can be viewed from Windows Live Photo Gallery.
  5. Supported formats for writing tags include jpg, tiff, and RAW (dng, nef, pef, cr2, orf).
