This article guides you through the steps of adding license keys to Surveillance Station.

Important:

    By activating license keys on Surveillance Station, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

    • A license key can only be applied to one Synology device at once.
    • License keys cannot be distributed or provided to any third party.
    • License keys (in either paper or electronic form) must be kept secure. If the keys are lost, Synology will not provide any replacements or lookup services.
    • The proof of purchase (e.g., invoices or receipts) of license keys must be kept secure. If the purchase was made online, please take a legible screenshot of the e-receipt and save it carefully.
    • License keys and the information of your Synology devices, including serial numbers and model names, will be sent back to Synology for validation. We will not collect other personal data during validation.
  1. Refer to the product specifications of your Synology device to check the maximum number of supported devices.
  2. Make sure your Synology device can access the Internet.
  3. Go to Surveillance Station > License.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Confirm the information in the window, tick the checkbox, and click Next.
  6. If you are adding licenses from the CMS host server, select a server and click Next.
  7. Enter or paste the license keys you have purchased. Click + or - to add or delete license keys, and click Add.
  8. A summary of the license status will appear. If the licenses you entered have already been activated on other devices, you can migrate them over to this device with an authenticated Synology Account. (See this article for detailed steps.)
