Compatibility & Installation

1. If Advanced Media Extensions was not installed, the system will automatically install the package after the update to ensure functionality.

1. This update has been recalled on Sep. 23, since the user interface might not display properly when the display language is Japanese.

1. You can now select an album and share it publicly. All items immediately below this album will be shared except for sub-albums.

For users downgrading from Photo Station 6:

1. As Photo Station 6 requires fewer thumbnails than Photo Station 5, missing thumbnails will need to be generated after downgrading. During the process, photos cannot be rotated, face-recognition cannot be used;
2. After downgrading to Photo Station 5, any albums created with Photo Station 6 will have its 'allow users to comment' setting disabled by default. You will need to re-enable it again for these albums as this is not a global setting in Photo Station 5.

This is the initial release to add support for DS216play.
