Synology® announces leadership changes
Taipei, Taiwan—January 3, 2022—Synology today announced the appointment of Derren Lu, formerly executive vice president, Operating System and Application Business Group, as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Derren is taking over the reins from Philip Wong, founder of Synology, who will remain as chairman.
The switch comes as Synology completes an annual organizational adjustment to prepare for plans and challenges ahead.

The company additionally announced the appointment of Mike Chen, formerly senior sales manager at Synology Inc., as general manager at Synology Japan, also effective today.
