FAQs How do I purchase Extended Warranty Plus? You can purchase Extended Warranty Plus either from the DSM interface (version 7.1 and above) or from your Synology Account. How much does Extended Warranty Plus cost? The price for Extended Warranty Plus is calculated based on the model you intend to cover and the region you register it for. The total cost will be confirmed during the registration process. Are drives and optional accessories covered by Extended Warranty Plus? No. Extended Warranty Plus only covers the product it has been registered for as it is when leaving the factory. Additional accessories, including hard drives, SSD, and RAM modules, are not covered. Where should I send my device for replacement? Defective products must be returned to the service center designated by Synology in Germany, and the US depending on the user's registered Extended Warranty Plus service location. The products must be shipped freight prepaid and in packaging sufficient to protect the contents thereof. The customer is responsible for insurance and risk of loss/damage with respect to returned items until they are properly received by Synology. Can I migrate Extended Warranty Plus coverage from one product to another? No. Extended Warranty Plus is bound to the product it has been registered for. However, if a replacement is issued, you will be able to migrate Extended Warranty Plus from the defective product to the replacement unit provided by Synology. How can I check the status of my Extended Warranty Plus? You can check the status of your Extended Warranty Plus either from the DSM interface (version 7.1 and above) or from your Synology Account.
