End-of-Availability notice for legacy DSM, Surveillance Station, SRM, and more
Published: 2023-01-11[Updated May 8, 2023] Due to changes in our licensing agreements, Synology will, from 31 May 2023, remove certain DSM installation files, firmware versions, and software packages from our official website and from distribution. This change may impact owners of Synology systems that have reached end-of-life (EOL) status, as those devices will no longer be eligible for upgrades.
Please note that the following Synology software will not be available from May 31, 2023:

Files required to install old software and firmware will remain available from Synology Download Center until May 30, 2023.
NAS/SAN (DSM)
DSM 6.2.3 and below will be removed from the website/from distribution and will be superseded by DSM 6.2.4 and above.
For admins of devices that can be upgraded to DSM 6.2.4 but are currently using DSM 5.0 or below, we recommend scheduling an upgrade before May 30, 2023, and archiving the files required to upgrade to DSM 6.2.4.
Example:
Current version: DSM 5.0-5055 (5/2015)
- Step 1: Upgrade to DSM 5.2-5967 (4/2016)
- Step 2: Upgrade to DSM 6.0.3-8754 (5/2017)
- Step 3: Upgrade to DSM 6.2.4
For admins of older devices that cannot be upgraded to DSM 6.2.4, we recommend you download and archive the latest software available for your device, in case re-installation is ever required.
DSM UC
Version 3.1.1-23036 and below will be removed from the website/from distribution and will be superseded by 3.1.2 and above.
Video Station
Versions 3.0.2 and below for DSM 7 and versions 2.5.0 and below for DSM 6 and earlier will be removed from the website/from distribution.
The following versions, or newer, will supersede the removed versions.

Audio Station

Version 8.2.8 and below will be removed from the website/from distribution and will be superseded by 8.2.9 and above.

VisualStation
Legacy VS240HD, VS80, VS60: All versions will be removed from the website/from distribution.
We recommend downloading and archiving the latest firmware available for your device, in case re-installation is ever required.
